Job summary

Backus Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, clinical excellence, and a strong nurse-patient relationship.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• One year RN experience and/or completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program. Two or more years experience in this clinical area preferred.
• Current unrestricted CT RN license; BLS; ACLS/NRP within required timelines; fetal monitoring certification by orientation end; NCC within two years; RN-BC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competence through nursing process and nurse-patient relationship.
• Assesses patient problems/needs, establishes plan of care, implements and evaluates care.
• Collaborates with health team to deliver high-quality patient care.
