Job summary

Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT, is seeking a registered nurse for the night shift (7:00pm-7:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays. You will demonstrate clinical competence through the nursing process and build a strong nurse-patient relationship while assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.

We value continuous learning; BSN/MSN preferred and current CT RN license with BLS. ACLS/NRP within timeline, fetal monitoring certification, and RN-BC are assets.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• One year RN experience and/or completion of Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program. Two years in this clinical area preferred.
• Current unrestricted Connecticut RN license.
• BLS at hire; ACLS and NRP within specified timelines.
• Fetal monitoring training by end of orientation; NCC cert within 2 years.
• RN Core Certification (RN-BC) preferred.
