Job summary

OhioHealth in the United States seeks a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit to provide general nursing care across the continuum in a 24/7 hospital setting. This night-shift role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork within a High Reliability Organization framework.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and participation in process improvement. Requires Ohio RN license, BLS, BSN preferred with 5 years of experience; 24 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification
• BSN required at 5 years of employment

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual (30%).
• Outcomes Identification/Planning - Documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%).
• Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at intervals; revises plan of care with the team (20%).
• Leadership - Participates in process improvement activities to achieve clinical quality, satisfaction, and financial targets (10%).
• Operations (10%).
• As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.
