Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Nights Full Time team. You’ll provide direct patient care, use the nursing process, and collaborate with care teams to deliver compassionate, high‑quality outcomes.

This role supports patient education, safety, and performance improvement initiatives across rotating weekends. Kentucky RN licensure, BCLS, ACLS/PALS, and an Associate degree in nursing are required (BSN preferred).

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Current RN license in state of practice; Kentucky license required or compact state
• BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition; communicates with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and coordinates patient care across disciplines.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
