Job summary

Sumter Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our night shift team in York, AL. You will provide hands-on nursing care, support the nursing team, and help ensure high-quality care for residents during the night.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication administration, resident assessment, supervision of LPNs/CNAs, and thorough documentation while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama RN license required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and coordinate resident care during the shift.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Assess residents and promptly respond to changes in condition.
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements.
