Job summary

Sumter Health & Rehabilitation in York, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Shift Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and support to our weekend nursing team. You will oversee nursing operations during assigned shifts, guide RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, and ensure residents receive consistent, high-quality care.

The role requires Alabama RN licensure in good standing, CPR/BLS certification, and prior nursing experience; leadership in a skilled nursing setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama RN license in good standing is required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous nursing experience required.
• House Supervisor/Nursing Supervisor experience preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for weekend nursing operations.
• Supervise, support, and direct RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Conduct rounds and monitor resident care and changes in condition.
• Assist nursing staff with clinical concerns and resident care needs.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members as needed.
• Support accurate documentation, infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure appropriate clinical follow-up.
