Job summary

Western Arizona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - RRT to join our night shift team. The role requires administering respiratory care, monitoring responses, and implementing treatments per physician orders to promote patient recovery and safety.

The candidate should have ARRT credentials, be proficient with ABG punctures, ventilator management, and EMR documentation, and work collaboratively with physicians and nurses while maintaining strict infection control.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of respiratory experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Proficient in administering pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic respiratory procedures.
• Knowledge of respiratory protocols and safety standards.
• Strong communication with healthcare teams and patients.

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced respiratory treatments and monitors patient responses.
• Performs ABG punctures and reports results promptly.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures and testing as assigned.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Documents all treatments and patient responses clearly in the EMR.
• Manages ventilator settings and airway maintenance.
• Adheres to infection control standards and PPE usage.
• Demonstrates readiness to respond in emergencies and coordinate with teams.
