Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Illinois is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for a 12-week contract. Work nights 7:00 PM–7:00 AM in a high-acuity ICU setting, with 36 hours weekly and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include performing respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures as ordered, with emphasis on assessment, planning, and documentation of patient care. Qualifications include active RCP license, NBRC CRT, BLS, ACLS, and PALS with 2 years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) NBRC required; hired before March 2026 exempt
• BLS certified from AHA or ARC on hire
• ACLS certification within 60 days of hire
• PALS certification within 60 days of hire
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate on hire or within 60 days
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Two years acute care experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as ordered by physician.
• Document care planning and implementation with patient population considerations.
• Lead RCP on shift when supervisor absent.
