Qualifications

• Must be licensed as Respiratory Therapist and eligible for certification.
• Current BCLS certification at hire or transfer; ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation required within 12 months.
• Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• At least 1 year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory care on general nursing units and in critical care areas (MICU, NICU, SICU, CSCU, PACU, Nursery, ED).
• Evaluates therapeutic benefits of respiratory care and discusses therapy with physicians.
• Participates in orientation and mentors staff on equipment and procedures.
