Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care across MICU, NICU, SICU, CSCU, PACU, Nursery and ED. The position requires Mississippi licensure, NBRC credentialing as a RT, and BCLS with ACLS and neonatal resuscitation within a year of hire.

You will evaluate therapies, discuss options with physicians, supervise staff as needed, and contribute to orientation efforts. Flexibility for shift patterns is expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current Mississippi licensure and NBRC credentialing required (Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligible).
• Mandatory BCLS; ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation within 12 months of start.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care duties on general nursing units and in MICU, NICU, SICU, CSCU, PACU, Nursery, and ED.
• Evaluate therapy benefits and discuss patient response with physicians.
• Recommend appropriate respiratory care strategies for diverse ages.
• Participate in staff orientation and mentor Respiratory Therapists.
