Qualifications

• High School graduate; graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Must be licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health or have valid military licensure.
• BPLS/BCLS required; ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 12 months.
• One year of RT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care duties on general nursing units and in critical care areas including MICU, NICU, SICU, CSCU, PACU, Nursery and ED.
• Evaluate benefits of respiratory therapy and discuss difficulties with physicians; make patient-specific recommendations.
• Participate in staff orientation and provide education to Respiratory Care staff.
