Singing River Health System is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care across multiple units, including MICU, NICU, SICU, and ED. You will evaluate therapy benefits, discuss issues with physicians, and participate in staff orientation.

Required qualifications include MS licensure or equivalent military licensure, NBRC CRT credential (or eligibility for temporary MS license), and ongoing BCLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 12 months of start.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Mississippi license for respiratory care or current military-validated licensure as allowed.
• Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or eligible for a temporary Mississippi license and must sit for the first available exam.
• Must complete and maintain current BCLS certification; ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation required within twelve months of job start.
• One year experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs respiratory care duties on general nursing units and in critical care areas including MICU, NICU, SICU, CSCU, PACU, Nursery and ED.
• Evaluates therapeutic benefits of respiratory care rendered and discusses difficulties with physicians.
• Participates in orientation of staff and assists in training and counseling on equipment use.
