Singing River Health System seeks a Certified Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care across NICU, MICU, SICU, ED and other units.

Responsibilities include evaluating therapies, coordinating with physicians, and mentoring staff; licensing and certifications are required with ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Mississippi Dept. of Health respiratory care licensure required.
• NBRC CRT credential; temporary MS license eligible to sit for exam.
• BCLS certification required at hire/transfer.
• ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care on general nursing units and critical care areas.
• Evaluate therapeutic benefits and discuss issues with physicians.
• Mentor and orient respiratory care staff; assist training of staff.

Education

High School graduate or equivalent

Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

Mississippi license to practice Respiratory Care
