Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher from an AMA-accredited program in respiratory care required
• Bachelor's degree in related healthcare field preferred
• 0–3 years of acute care experience required
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) required
• RCP license preferred
• Maryland license to practice respiratory care required
• CPR (BLS/NRP) within 90 days required
• ACLS/NRP/PALS within a year where required

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients per physician orders
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including ventilators and monitoring devices
• Assess patient needs and document care
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR as needed
• Maintain department safety, standards, and accurate record-keeping
