Job summary

UC Health's University of Cincinnati Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the night shift. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

The RT delivers essential cardiopulmonary care across age groups, manages shift assignments, and supports staffing needs within the respiratory therapy department. Qualifications include an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), NBRC RRT, Ohio license, BLS and relevant advanced certifications, and 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: Associate's Degree.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
• Graduate of a two-to-four-year AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT credential by the NBRC within one year of graduation or date of hire.
• Current State of Ohio License.
• Current BLS (with ACLS, PALS, or NALS for respective work area).
• 1 year of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory care to patients of all ages using invasive and noninvasive techniques.
• Leads shift responsibilities, assigns staff, and addresses staffing issues.
• Performs and monitors treatments and medications safely.
• Documents all information in the patient record and SBAR hand-offs.
• Educates patients on disease state, home care, and safety.
• Collaborates with physicians regarding cardiopulmonary status.
