Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) in the Respiratory Therapy department. This full-time night-shift role offers a competitive hourly pay range and potential for leadership responsibilities on shift.

Responsibilities include performing respiratory therapies and diagnostics as ordered, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, tailored to patient age and population.

Qualifications

• Current license as Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in state of practice.
• NBRC RRT certification or eligible to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC upon hire and current.
• ACLS certification from AHA/ARC upon hire and current.
• PALS certification preferred.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapies and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by provider.
• Assess, plan, implement, and document patient care with attention to age-specific needs.
• May serve as Lead RCP and oversee the section/department during shifts.

Education

Current State RCP license

NBRC RRT or eligible within 3 months

BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)

PALS certification preferred

NRP certification preferred

Associates or BS degree preferred

2 years acute care experience preferred
