Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) new graduate for an entry-level hospital position. You will work under a licensed physician and departmental leadership to provide basic respiratory care, participate in assessment and monitoring of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, and progress toward full licensure and independent practice.

The role requires graduation from an accredited program, Maine temporary license, BLS, and anticipated

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Eligible to sit for NBRC credentialing exams.
• Holds a Temporary Respiratory Therapist License from the Maine Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners.
• BLS certification required on hire; ACLS to be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• PALS and NRP certifications preferred.
• Associate degree required; CRT or RRT credential within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic respiratory care procedures under physician supervision.
• Participate in assessment, treatment, and monitoring of cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Support safe, high-quality, evidence-based care while progressing toward licensure and independent practice.

Education

CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Temporary Respiratory Therapist License (Maine)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred

Associate degree

CRT or RRT credential within 3 months of hire
