Job summary

Rumford Hospital in Maine is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner I to perform respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures under medical direction. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of patient care, with age- and population-specific needs.

The patient care team will look for candidates with an active RCP license, BLS, ACLS (PALS preferred), and a minimum of two years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Required active Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• BLS certification required on hire; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Two years acute care experience preferred; NRP is a plus.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred; HS diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• In the absence of a supervisor, Lead RCP duties may be assigned during shift.
