Qualifications

• Current State RCP license required.
• Current NBRC RRT certification or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• BLS certification from the AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification from the AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification preferred.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Emphasize assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care with age/population considerations.
• May be identified as Lead RCP and supervise the section/department during a shift.

Education

State Respiratory Care Practitioner license

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC

BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)

PALS certification (AHA) - preferred

NRP certification - preferred

Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care
