Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner II. You will perform respiratory therapies and pulmonary diagnostics, document care and adjust plans based on patient age and needs. You may lead the RCP team during shifts, under medical director guidance.

The role requires licensure as an RCP, NBRC RRT certification or eligibility, and BLS/ACLS at hire; PALS/NRP are preferred. Full-time, day shift with a strong benefits package and sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
• Current RRT NBRC certification or eligibility within 3 months of hire.
• BLS, ACLS at hire and maintained; PALS and NRP preferred.
• Degree preference as stated; acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Assess, plan, implement, and document care with age-specific considerations.
• May be identified as Lead RCP and oversee section/department during shift.

Skills

Acute care experience (2+ years)

BLS certified (AHA/ARC)

ACLS certified (AHA/ARC)

PALS preferred

NRP preferred

RRT NBRC eligible or certified

Education

Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
