Job summary

Advocate Health's Carolinas Medical Center Mercy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for nights 7p–7a. 24 hours per week with a sign-on bonus eligible. Licensure, education, and BLS are required.

You will administer therapies, manage ventilators, document results, and coordinate with the care team to ensure patient oxygenation and safety. A BSRT or higher is preferred; RRT credential is required.

Qualifications

• RRT credential required and licensed to practice in state.
• Associate degree in respiratory therapy required; BSRT preferred.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.
• New graduates with RRT credentials may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies and procedures to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Operate and monitor mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluate therapies and make care recommendations per policy.
• Document therapy results and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Perform blood sampling analysis and interpret results.
• Maintain EMR proficiency and follow safety/regulatory guidelines.
• Support other staff and ensure patient safety across departments.
