Methodist Midlothian Medical Center in Texas seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide bedside respiratory care, including ventilator support, ABG analysis, and patient assessments across age groups.

The position requires licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Texas, NBRC registration, and BLS/ACLS certification with onboarding for PALS/NRP within 1 year. Night shift, 7pm-7am, in a 12X3 rotation, with potential NICU exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support – must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.
• NICU experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, Incentive Spirometry, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR and mechanical ventilation.

Formation

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Current Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification

NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - must obtain within 1 year of hire

Texas licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner

Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

6+ months respiratory care experience

NICU experience preferred
