Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MICU at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. This 20-bed unit cares for adult and older adult cardiac and general medical–surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Shifts available are 7 p.m.

to 7:30 a.m.; full-time and part-time roles with every other weekend and holiday per year for full-time/part-time staff. Qualifications include Michigan RN license, BLS, ACLS for specific departments, and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• State of Michigan RN license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency.
• BSN preferred; willingness to obtain BSN within five years.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Uses teach back methodology to educate patient and family.
• Actively seeks to prevent hospital-acquired conditions.
• Effectively communicates patient status and goals during rounds and handoffs.
• Follows HIPAA policies and Trinity Health values.
