Job summary

Saint Joseph Mercy Health System’s 6 North Medical PCU in Ann Arbor is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 36-hour weekly night shift (7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) with rotation on holidays and weekends.

This role provides patient-centered care to medically complex patients using the nursing process and emphasizes education for patients and families, HIPAA adherence, and alignment with our Mission and values.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nursing program enabling NCLEX eligibility.
• BSN preferred; five-year BSN deadline for newer hires.
• Michigan RN license and BLS required; ACLS for specified areas.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Uses teach back methodology to educate patient and family.
• Seeks to prevent potential hospital acquired infections.
• Communicates patient status and priorities during rounds and handoffs.
• Follows HIPAA policies and upholds Mission, Vision and Values.
