Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 6-bed inpatient Cardiac Intensive Care Unit/Progressive Care Unit. The role involves care for critically ill cardiac patients with team support from RNs and PCTs on the day shift, with 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shifts available.

Qualifications include RN licensure in Michigan, BLS, ACLS for specified departments, and BSN preferred. Experience for Canadian RNs is encouraged, with opportunities for growth across SJMHS and Trinity Health.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program eligible to sit for the NCLEX to become a licensed Registered Nurse.
• Current State of Michigan RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency departments.
• BSN preferred; must obtain BSN within five years if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze patient information.
• Develop, implement, evaluate and revise an individualized plan of care.
• Use teach-back to educate patient and family.
• Prevent potential hospital-acquired conditions.
• Communicate patient status and interventions during rounds and handoffs.
• Follow HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals.
