Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing standards. You will plan, deliver, and coordinate care, participate in governance activities, and support professional development.

The role requires Massachusetts licensure, BLS, and a BSN is preferred. You will work on a 3rd shift with 8-hour nights, 32 hours per week, in a busy Med Surg Unit with potential signing bonuses.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification is required for every RN; ACLS per unit may be required.
• BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from Admission to Discharge, developmentally appropriate.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates an individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the unit.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other health care providers.
• Assists physician with treatments, procedures and tests as required or directed.
• Participates in Nursing Governance activities.
