Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for Night shifts in the Labor and Delivery unit. You will deliver patient care using nursing process and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires TX RN license, BLS, NRP and ACLS certifications (NRP/ACLS within 6 months). BSN preferred. Cross-training to other areas possible; 6 months to 1 year hospital RN experience in L&D preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS, NRP and ACLS certifications (NRP/ACLS within 6 months).
• Willingness to be crossed trained to other areas.
• 6 months to 1 year hospital RN experience in labor and delivery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate nursing care with other disciplines to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain quality care and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Ensure care aligns with Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
