Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Davenport, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Birth Center on a 12-hour Night Shift. The role provides and directs safe, culturally competent care for mothers and newborns, with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.

Requirements include an Iowa RN license (Illinois license within 1 year acceptable), Associate's Degree in Nursing with NRP and BLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (Field: Nursing).
• NRP within 6 months; Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Training preferred: Clinical certification; BSN.
• RN licensure in Iowa; Illinois licensure within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct safe, effective, and culturally competent care for mothers and newborns.
• Perform assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• Adhere to ANA Professional Practice Standards and participate in quality/improvement activities.
• May expand to labor/delivery and/or transitional nursery as skills grow.
