Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Mason City, IA, is seeking a part-time NICU nurse for night shifts. The Labor and Delivery unit offers family-centered maternity care with dedicated NICU and Birth Center spaces, ensuring safe, coordinated newborn care.

RN licensure in Iowa is required; BSN preferred. Experience with well or ill newborns, obstetric care, or acute care is valued. The nurse will float between Birth Center and Pediatrics, supporting high‑quality maternal and newborn services.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa or recent RN graduate.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Experience in well or ill newborn, and/or obstetric care and/or acute care preferred.
• Certification in neonatal care or related to clinical specialty is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care with the multidisciplinary team using the nursing process.
• Care for well and ill newborns in NICU, Birth Center, and Pediatrics as needed.
• Float between Birth Center and Pediatrics to support department needs.
