Job summary

Mount Carmel East, part of Trinity Health, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse for a 12-hour night shift. The ACU will care for patients requiring complex care coordination, with emphasis on organization and care delivery in a high-need setting in Columbus, Ohio.

You will assess patient needs, support providers, administer medications, document care, and educate patients and families as part of a collaborative care team. Current Ohio RN license and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
• Basic computer skills; EMR charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence-based practice.
• Assist in patient examination and treatment as directed; perform basic procedures.
• Administer medications under the provider's direction according to standards and guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, diagnoses and disease processes.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately according to standards.
