Job summary

Mount Carmel East in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 12 Hour Night Shift in a Full-time capacity. The Accountable Care Unit will care for patients from acute to intermediate levels of care, emphasizing complex care coordination and safe, efficient patient management.

As a member of the ACU team, you will monitor telemetry, manage non-titrating vasoactive drips, and support BiPAP patients while focusing on reducing length of stay and preventing duplication of services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience using EMR for charting.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice.
• Assist provider with patient assessment, examinations and treatments; perform basic medical procedures.
• Administer medications under provider direction per policies.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly and accurately.
