Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio seeks a Staff Registered Nurse for a 12-hour night shift in the Accountable Care Unit at Mount Carmel East. The ACU will open spring 2022 and focuses on complex care coordination for longer stays, telemetry, and non-titrating drips.

The RN will deliver patient care using the Nursing Process, collaborating with providers and the care team, and supporting education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage patient care including supervision.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice.
• Assist with patient assessment, examinations and treatments under provider supervision.
• Administer medications according to policies and guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Take responsibility for care provided and documented by the care team.
