Job summary

Garden City Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Night shift to deliver direct patient care in the Medical/Surgical Unit. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients.

The role requires an active Michigan RN license, BLS and ACLS on hire, with BSN preferred. Acute care experience and ventilator management are preferred. This is a full-time night shift position committed to quality, compassion and community.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
