Job summary

Garden City Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Nights shift on a Full Time basis in our Medical/Surgical unit. You will deliver direct patient care, assess and plan care, and educate patients and families as part of a compassionate team dedicated to quality and safety.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, current BLS, ACLS within 30 days of hire, and have hospital acute care experience. BSN preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition including monitoring results and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
