Job summary

Confidential beverage manufacturer in the Roanoke area seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the night shift. The role leads QA personnel on the production floor and in the laboratory to ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Base salary is $65,000–$75,000, with a Monday–Thursday 6:00 PM–6:00 AM schedule and potential extra weekend/holiday coverage based on operations. You will develop the team, review testing results, and support audits to uphold product quality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical education in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant manufacturing QA experience.
• Experience with food industry practices.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and team development skills.
• Ability to work the stated overnight schedule and flexibility for coverage.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, set daily priorities, and communicate expectations for quality, safety, and timely completion of work.
• Develop team members through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Partner with Production and other departments to address quality concerns and maintain food safety standards.
• Oversee assigned quality management programs, including documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Support compliance with regulatory, certification, customer, and product specifications.
• Review laboratory results for accuracy, investigate exceptions, and identify unfavorable trends.
• Recommend process improvements based on testing data and quality performance.
• Prepare for and assist with internal audits and external regulatory, certification, and customer assessments.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts that strengthen product quality and customer satisfaction.
