Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for a confidential beverage manufacturer in the Roanoke area, overseeing QA on production floor and laboratory to ensure food safety and quality.

The Night Shift role manages QA personnel, develops the team, evaluates testing results, supports audits, and drives continuous improvement across processes to meet regulatory and customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable college or technical education in a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Manufacturing experience and knowledge of food industry practices.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, organization, and team development skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production setting.
• Overnight schedule with flexibility for additional coverage.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, set daily priorities, and communicate expectations for quality, safety, and timely completion of work.
• Develop team members through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Partner with Production and other departments to address quality concerns and maintain food safety standards.
• Oversee assigned quality management programs, including documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Support compliance with regulatory, certification, customer, and product specifications.
• Review laboratory results for accuracy, investigate exceptions, and identify unfavorable trends.
• Recommend process improvements based on testing data and quality performance.
• Prepare for and assist with internal audits and external regulatory, certification, and customer assessments.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts that strengthen product quality and customer satisfaction.
