Job summary

Texas Materials, A CRH company, is seeking a QC 1B Technician for night shift in San Antonio. The role focuses on field inspection, testing aggregates and asphalt, and maintaining documentation for quality control.

You will build relationships with DOT personnel, facility managers, and suppliers to ensure compliance with specifications. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, DOT testing certifications, and TxDOT level 1A certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain and maintain DOT certifications to test asphalt as required by state regulations.
• Less than 1 year of related experience required.
• TxDOT certified level 1A (plant production specialist certification) required.

Responsibilities

• Use accepted methods to inspect, sample, and test aggregates, asphalt, or other materials for quality control.
• Sample and test mixtures to stay in compliance with contract specifications and quality control tolerance.
• Monitor and test process functions and materials daily to ensure products meet agency or customer requirements.
• Prepare and record accurate information; maintain test results database.
• Obtain required certifications in a timely manner.
• Follow safety policies and procedures; wear PPE as required.
