Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a QC 1B Technician for night shift to perform field inspection, testing, and documentation for plant facilities. You will build relationships with customers, DOT personnel, and state agencies while ensuring quality control and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, DOT certifications, and up to 1 year of related experience; training toward TxDOT Level 1A is required. Must pass pre-employment checks and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0
• Must obtain and maintain DOT certifications to test asphalt as required by state regulations.
• Less than 1 year of related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, sample, and test aggregates, asphalt, or other materials for quality control.
• Sample and test mixtures to stay in contract specifications and quality control tolerance.
• Monitor and test process functions and materials to meet applicable standards.
• Prepare and record accurate information; maintain test results database.
• Obtain required certifications in a timely manner.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and certification paperwork.
• Follow quality control plans and directions from the manager.
• Ensure safe work environment per safety policies and procedures.
• Perform general cleaning and attend assigned shifts, including nights/weekends.
