Job summary

Endeavor Health's Evanston Hospital seeks a Lead Public Safety Officer for the night shift. You will oversee security operations, respond to incidents, manage post assignments, and support the Shift Supervisor to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least two years in a customer-focused service setting, a valid FOID card, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. CPI/IAHSS credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a customer-focused service-based organization.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served and respond to their needs.
• In the absence of the Shift Supervisor coordinates the work of assigned department staff and determines daily work post assignments.
• Assist the Shift Supervisor to train and orient newly hired Security Officers on the shift.
• Monitors Security Officers and provides on-going direction during the shift.
• Prepare written reports as directed and assist investigations with interviews.
• Briefs oncoming Lead Officer regarding reports and information.
• Performs duties of Public Safety Officer.
