Endeavor Health seeks a Lead Public Safety Officer for Highland Park Hospital. The role is full-time with evening hours (2pm – 10:30pm) and involves coordinating department staff in the absence of the Shift Supervisor, training new Officers, and performing Public Safety duties.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, two years in customer-focused service, and certifications including FOID, CPR, CPI, and driver’s license. IA HSS training is preferred.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• FOID card required within 90 days of start date.
• Current CPR certification within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license required; personal vehicle may require insurance.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within six months of hire.
• IAHSS Basic Healthcare Security Officer training within twelve months of start date.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
• In the absence of the Shift Supervisor coordinates the work of assigned department staff and determines daily work post assignments.
• Assist the Shift Supervisor to trains and orient newly hired Security Officers on his/her shift.
• Monitors Security Officers in performance of their duties and provides on-going direction of activities during the shift.
• Determines when an incident requires written report, which report form to use and submits to Supervisor, Public Safety.
• Prepare other written reports as directed.
• Assist Shift Supervisor to coordinate interviews for investigations with employees and law enforcement agencies.
• Briefs oncoming Lead Officer regarding any reports and pertinent information.
• Performs duties of Public Safety Officer.
