Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Public Safety Telecommunications Operator in Milwaukee, WI, to monitor security systems, dispatch staff, and respond to emergencies. The role is part-time (0.5 status), 20 hours per week, with weekend shifts from 11pm–7am or 7pm–7am on alternating weekends.

Qualifications include GED or HS equivalency, APCO Telecommunicator 1 within 12 months, and 1 year alarm response experience. Strong English skills and computer proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and ability to type 35-40 wpm.
• Read, understand, and clearly speak English; effective communication with public and co-workers.
• Must understand written and spoken instructions and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and utilizes security systems to maintain situational awareness and dispatches staff.
• Responds to security, fire, and safety service requests and inputs data into security systems.
• Communicates effectively in routine, urgent, and emergency situations and maintains database information.
