Job summary

Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee is seeking a Public Safety Dispatcher for the 3rd shift to operate access control, alarm, video surveillance, CAD, and emergency lines. You will respond to emergencies by dispatching internal and external resources and coordinate with Hospital Operators.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work under pressure, and basic computer skills. A high school diploma is required; dispatcher experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in customer service call-center or similar role.
• Two or more years of dispatcher experience in security, law enforcement, or 9-1-1 environment preferred.
• Must be able to read and write to complete forms and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Operate access control, alarm, video surveillance, MedGas and fire monitoring, two-way radio, intercom, telephone and CAD.
• Respond to emergencies by dispatching appropriate internal or external resources.
• Collaborate with Public Safety Call Center Operators during emergencies and normal operations.
• Monitor security and environmental systems for trouble or alarm conditions and notify appropriate parties.
• Prepare logs, memos and routine reports documenting events and actions.
