Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a Public Safety Telecommunications Operator for the Wisconsin Command Center in Milwaukee. This part-time, 0.5 status role covers 20 hours per week with a 3rd shift, including weekends and holidays, and requires ability to monitor security systems and coordinate with Public Safety staff.

The operator will respond to security incidents, input data into security systems, and maintain logs while staying compliant with policies.

Qualifications

• 1 year responding to alarms (burglar, fire, etc.)
• Experience monitoring hardware and/or software such as signal receivers, alarm monitoring software; CCTV, burglar, or fire panels; Emergency Response protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and utilizes security systems to maintain situational awareness and dispatches staff as needed.
• Responds to Security, Fire, and Safety service requests, incidents, and alarms, prioritizing calls and directing responders.
• Maintains logs of Public Safety/Security staff communications and activity.
• Communicates effectively in routine and emergency situations with stakeholders during incidents.
