Job summary

Responsibilities

• Responds to and operates multi-function work stations, paging systems, emergency hotline and alarm devices to answer, connect, and direct calls for hospital response.
• Provides an expeditious communication link between in-house and on-call personnel, patients, and caregivers in routine and urgent situations.
• Repairs or arranges for repair of pocket pagers and patient telephones? and special needs devices as needed.
• Keeps current knowledge of department policies and procedures and maintains files and bulletin board postings.
