Job summary

Harder Mechanical is seeking a Project Safety Manager for a data center project in Reno, NV. This salaried role supports the project management team and field supervision to ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with regulations.

Night shift hours are 3:00pm–1:00am. Applicants should hold OSHA 30-hour, OSHA 510, and CSP/CHST/OHST certifications; 10+ years of experience in construction safety, with semiconductor exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of fall protection systems, electrical safety, permit-required confined spaces, excavation trenching and shoring, scaffolding, hazard communication, incident investigation and reporting.
• Ability to meet essential functions and physical requirements; accommodations considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide incident prevention support: inspect site, equipment, training, incident reporting and safety techniques.
• Act as on-site Competent Person performing regular inspections of site, materials and equipment.
• Oversee safety professionals on the project and advise site teams on hazards and controls.
• Develop hazard analyses for major work processes and conduct PPE assessments as needed.
• Lead toolbox talks and site safety training, coordinating with technical specialists and program managers.
