Job summary

Hampel Corporation, a growing thermoforming manufacturer, is seeking a Production Team Lead (3rd Shift) to champion daily production activities, safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coaching 30-40 operators.

You will plan and prioritize production schedules, monitor hour-by-hour performance, drive continuous improvement, and support onboarding and cross-training to develop a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 1-3 years supervisory or leadership experience
• Understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, procurement, and related procedures and policies
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees while effectively managing performance and resolving conflicts
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Demonstrated problem-solving, prioritization, analytical, and quantitative skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems; experience with IQMS preferred
• Working knowledge of OSHA, ISO, and quality management requirements
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to represent the company professionally and positively
• Ability to obtain forklift certification

Responsibilities

• Coach, train, and develop 30-40 production operators.
• Review production schedules and staffing assignments.
• Monitor production boards and floor performance.
• Conduct safety walks and employee coaching.
• Verify timekeeping and attendance records.
• Support operator training and onboarding.
• Lead shift handoffs and communication of production priorities.
• Plan and prioritize production schedules to meet delivery goals.
• Drive SQCDP improvements and ensure adherence to standards.
