Job summary

Leviton is seeking a Group Leader for its night shift in Saint Petersburg, FL. You will assign work, supervise a production cell, and train team members to follow assembly instructions and blueprints.

This role requires proven leadership in small-scale manufacturing, with hands-on experience in electronics assembly or cabling. You’ll drive efficiency, maintain safety, and contribute to continuous improvement while working 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.
Minimum three years’ experience working in a production environment.
Previous experience training others preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and blueprint specifications.
Set up work assignments to ensure efficient flow and on time shipping.
Coordinate and train employees to follow work instructions and related assembly drawing for the manufacture of sub-assemblies.
Ensure good efficiency and quality metrics of group members.
Update supervisor and system WIP status with progress to schedule.
Identify and address potential production problems and notify management as needed.
Provide input to supervisor regarding employee performances.
Perform duties of all work cell positions, as necessary.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations and alerts the Supervisor of any potential hazard.
May serve as back up to Senior Group Leader as needed.
