Job summary

FXI is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift in West Chicago, IL to lead mattress manufacturing operations at night, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping while supervising production associates, leads, and material handlers.

The role reports to the Production Manager and requires strong LEAN and continuous improvement practices in a fast-paced environment on-site with a Mon-Fri 9:00pm–5:30am schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Experience leading manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift safety activities and enforce FXI safety policies and procedures.
• Manage daily production operations to achieve schedules and customer requirements.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and SOPs; drive first-pass yield improvements.
• Supervise and develop production associates, leads, and material handlers.
• Drive Lean, 5S, Kaizen initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Coordinate material flow with inventory and planning teams and support maintenance.
• Complete production reports and shift communications; participate in audits and reviews.
