Job summary

Intuitive Surgical is seeking a Manufacturing Operations professional to manage the night shift (11pm–7:30am) and drive performance. You will lead production staff, ensure adherence to procedures, and partner with Engineering on resolutions and quality initiatives.

The role emphasizes Lean Six Sigma, safety, and continuous improvement, with responsibilities spanning training, performance feedback, and meeting quarterly/annual goals. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3–5 years’ experience as an individual contributor in Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, or a related field
• Education requirement may be waived for internal candidates with 5+ years of experience with Intuitive
• Lean Manufacturing, DFT, and 6S emphasis

Responsibilities

• Oversee production performance across the night shift (11pm–7:30am)
• Hire, train, develop, and motivate production personnel to meet quality and productivity targets
• Redline and keep Manufacturing Process Instructions up to date
• Address line support issues as they arise, including technical issues
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve production issues and drive quality improvements
• Document variances and report problems or concerns
• Plan and drive improvement and report production performance, yields, and trends
• Assist in achieving quarterly and annual production goals
• Enforce safety policies and Lean initiatives across the team
• Review ECOs for impact on manufacturing and disposition discrepant material
