Job summary

ABB in Ormond Beach, FL is seeking a Production Team Lead to oversee a shift-based crew, transforming parts and materials into ABB products. The role focuses on safety, process improvement, and workforce development, reporting to the Production Manager.

The position is a third-shift, onsite role with responsibilities including payroll oversight, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives across the production line.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with at least 6 years of manufacturing experience; or Associate's degree with at least 4 years; or Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years - engineering or technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a people leadership role, with a genuine commitment to team member growth, development, and empowerment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
• Must hold valid work authorization to work for ABB in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture by actively promoting safe behaviors and ensuring compliance with HSE standards across all shifts.
• Drive daily structured engagement with all team members across shifts to surface process improvement ideas.
• Support, empower, and develop team members by identifying growth opportunities and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
• Oversee accurate payroll processing, conduct performance reviews, and lead operational audits and standard operating task (SOT) reviews.
• Build understanding of machine processes to identify and lead improvement initiatives within the production area.
